As a recent graduate of med school and practicing physician, I have learned that there is more to medicine than what we are taught. Sure, our medical education is extremely important, but I have also found that there is much more to being a medical professional than reading the textbook. It is the relationships we form with people and the knowledge of how to treat patients that keeps us moving forward, technologically and emotionally speaking.
It is for this reason that I started the Amala Medical College blog. I want to share with my readers the knowledge that I have gained in my short, albeit fruitful medical career. Join me as I strive to bring you the latest information and sound medical advice that you can actually use. This is more than just a textbook account of medicine, but rather a perspective of medicine from the point of view of the patient and the doctor.
